Rotations EP

Label: Infidelity Records
Catalogue Number: DBINFDLTY9
Release Date: 03.01.17 (Beatport Exclusive)

1. Clockwork
2. Disorder
3. Rotations
4. Overkill

Hot on the heels of our last release from talented trio Creatures, Subtle Element touches down with his first solo EP for Infidelity, ‘Rotations EP’.

Following his personal exodus from Cornwall a few years back, Subtle Element has found himself amongst some of the best up and coming names on the Bristol D&B circuit, receiving support from some top level names including Noisia, Optiv & BTK, Foreign Concept, Xtrah, Nymfo, Bailey, Chris SU, Doc Scott, Fre4knc, Eastcolours, Volatile Cycle & many more.

He is also resident for promoter ‘Bristol Drum & Bass Events’, enabling him to appear on lineups for the likes of Dispatch Recordings, Shogun Audio, Neosignal & Metalheadz.

His unique brand of sub-low drum & bass has rightly earned placed him as one to watch right now.

The title track ‘Rotations’ propels us to another level in Subtle Element’s arsenal – employing an organic sounding groove-charged break, worthy of it’s namesake. The concurrent bassline is serious head-nod material, complete with clever LFO rate variations that complement the funky precedent already set by the impressive drum work.

Next up is ‘Clockwork’ – this truly is a sub-low roller in it’s purest form – gritty, dark and littered with stabs and pads eerie enough to send even the most ardent heads running for the hills. Don’t be fooled into thinking the evil undertones in this track are all it’s got, however, as it’s packing serious punch and dancefloor worthy grooves throughout.

Track three, ‘Disorder’, continues in the same vein as it’s predecessor, with autonomous sub throughout and super tight percussive elements – accompanied by his now trademark bass sounds.

Rounding off the EP is ‘Overkill’. A thunderous kick drum pattern ensues before we’re introduced to the star of the show – yeah, you guessed it, sub-bass. The producer’s dedication to the cause right across this project is clear for all to see, but no more than in this track.

Various Artists
Evolve EP: Phase One

TerraHawk, Creatures, Subtle Element, Safety In Numbers & Lurk

Label: Infidelity Records
Catalogue Number: DBINFDLTY7
Release Date: 26.08.16
Format: Digital

The first in a brand new series of Various Artists EP’s from Infidelity Records; ‘Evolve EP: Phase One’ puts forth music from already established label artists as well as welcoming exciting new talents into the fold for the first time.

The aforementioned talents stepping up for their label debuts are all Bristol residents and prominent names on the Bristol circuit: Subtle Element, Safety In Numbers & Lurk – Underpinning the strength of label regulars TerraHawk & Creatures’ music on this EP.

Fully encompassing what Infidelity now represents as a label in 2016, expect a high standard of Drum & Bass to emanate from the ‘Evolve’ series.

Label bosses TerraHawk kick things off with the no holds barred roller ‘Cogent’; spitting out murky-filth from the get go. An eerie intro backed by solid punchy kicks warns of the aural corruption that lies in wait, firmly setting the tempo for the rest of the EP.

Creatures come fully correct with their offering ‘Clarity’. Unrivalled trademark drumwork & percussive elements confirm this as material worthy of a run-out on some of the world’s best D&B dancefloors. Keep your ears open for new music coming on Infidelity from the Creatures production lab in the very near future.

Prolific collaborators and regulars on the Bristol circuit; Subtle Element & Safety in Numbers have teamed up to bring you an updated 2016 version of their unreleased 2015 track ‘Symptomatic’ which was featured on Optiv & BTK’s ‘Dutty Audio Podcast’, as their respective label debuts.

Another label debut, but this time for a new boy in town. Lurk, another hot tip of ours to go on to big things, impressed us massively with material fired our way in the last 6 months – constantly exciting us with his distinct styles. ‘Preserve’ is a full on bass-laden stepper – charged with enough sub to rumble any club to it’s foundations.

Subtle Element’s ‘Last Hour’ is the penultimate number on the EP. Employing his now-trademark sound design, sub meets stabby reece in this energy filled rolling grub fest.

Impeccably rounding off a strong start to the ‘Evolve’ series, Creatures & TerraHawk collaborate on the comically named ‘Justin Thyme’; an intriguing fusion of both artist’s current styles. Definitely worth your thyme.

It’s not often you see a seasoned veteran of the scene release a debut solo EP a quarter of a century into their career as an artist, but in this case Aries’ was certainly worth the wait. Having released material on practically every Jungle label worth their salt, including Congo Natty, Dread, V Recordings, Run Tingz Recordings & Chopstick Dubplate – it is Bristol’s Ramajam Recordings that have finally thrown down the gauntlet on what is Birmingham’s finest’s most captivating project to date, ‘Year Of The Goat EP’.

The Chopstick co-owner has employed a solid sound across this project that really does embody the heart and soul of this music in 2015; 4 original tracks plus an instrumental that you expect to stand the test of time, in a ruthless scene where these days protracted shelf life is somewhat of a myth.

‘Year Of The Goat EP’ pays homage to a modern-purist-Jungle sound that is hard to come by in an age of sample pack jump up – this is really something Aries has done with great aplomb over the years.

‘Dancehall Ruler’ features the energy and vocal talents of Blackout JA, delivering a catchy number that Aries produced using only played in instruments, no samples whatsoever.

‘Vicious’ takes you back to a euphoric level with an addictive vocal, rugged drums and a driving bassline.

‘I Need You’ takes a similar stance, riding along the euphoric journey with up to date production techniques and dancefloor destroying vibe.

‘Ways Of The Underground’ takes you all the way back to the days of United States Of Drum and Bass, the mid 90’s flow and toxic bass truly show his understanding of this music.

The EP also features a bonus track in the form of an instrumental version of ‘Dancehall Ruler’.

CREATURES – LOST GODS EP (INFIDELITY RECORDS)

Coming soon on Infidelity Records, new signing Creatures present their first of a plethora of solo projects with us.

The 4 track ‘Lost Gods EP’ is slated for release on 27.11.2015. Below is the exclusive look at the EP artwork, with the first audio clip coming next week!

The EP has a Greek mythology theme throughout, with the connection between the title ‘Lost Gods EP’, the track titles (Mirage, Hades, Desert Shadow and Cerberus) and the deeper tech-minded style prominent across the body of work. This is certainly a slightly different direction than we have seen in previous releases on Infidelity, however the label is more than willing to endorse talent of this magnitude from across the D&B scene.

The EP is already receiving support from some big players such as:

S.P.Y – 10/10 – “Desert shadow is the one for me, sick track”
Drumsound & Bassline Smith – 8/10 – “Good stuff”
Rene LaVice – 8/10 – “Sounding cool!”
Mind Vortex – 10/10 – “Sick”
Aphrodite – 8/10 – “Good EP”
Villem – 9/10 – “Dope!”
Concord Dawn – 9/10 – “Mirage!! What dirty creatures, quality tech!”
Chris SU – 7/10
M-Soul & S27 – “Like it, especially Cerberus”
Ray Keith – “Great production. Love the deep dark textures, heavy”

CALM B4 THE STORM – THE REMIXES – ft. TERRAHAWK, DOPE TINGZ, SALARYMAN & CREATURES

Infidelity Records presents it’s latest offering, Calm B4 The Storm Remix EP (DBINFDLTY4) – featuring remixes of TerraHawk’s second original production, forthcoming 30.10.15!

TerraHawk have had a busy year with releases, bookings in different countries, clubs and festivals. After an influx of interest from artists wanting to remix their collaboration with Tenor Fly, ‘Calm B4 The Storm’, the duo hand picked the artists which would bring the most variety to the EP.

There is a remix from our French D&B soldier, Salaryman, bringing more of a Dubwise edge to the track. Salaryman has recently had tracks selected for RAM Miami and 15 years of Technique Recordings, so he is a man in demand.

Dope Tingz (combo of the legendary Dope Ammo and Run Tingz Cru) have put their all out dance-floor touch to the track, firmly stamping down the sound for the up front D&B ravers.

Infidelity’s new signing, Creatures, have taken on the track and absolutely shown without a shadow of a doubt, what they are capable of. This darker, rolling track has had us excited for a while, and we can’t even begin to say what is in

Last but not least, TerraHawk went back in on the track and flipped it into a dark, gritty, steaming VIP mix, showing store for these guys. their versatility!

The release has been receiving strong support so far, from the likes of:
THE QEMISTS, DRUMSOUND & BASSLINE SMITH, MAMPI SWIFT, UNCLE DUGS, RAY KIETH, LOGAN D, BREWSTER B KISS FM AUSTRALIA, KENNY KEN, DJ INK, LIONDUB, DJ DAZEE, NICKY BLACKMARKET, ARIES, BLADERUNNER, RENE LA VICE +++ more.
