Label: Infidelity Records
Catalogue Number: DBINFDLTY7
Release Date: 26.08.16 (Beatport Exclusive) / 09.09.16 (Worldwide)
Format: Digital

The first in a brand new series of Various Artists EP’s from Infidelity Records; ‘Evolve EP: Phase One’ puts forth music from already established label artists as well as welcoming exciting new talents into the fold for the first time.

The aforementioned talents stepping up for their label debuts are all Bristol residents and prominent names on the Bristol circuit: Subtle Element, Safety In Numbers & Lurk – Underpinning the strength of label regulars TerraHawk & Creatures’ music on this EP.

Fully encompassing what Infidelity now represents as a label in 2016, expect a high standard of Drum & Bass to emanate from the ‘Evolve’ series.

Label bosses TerraHawk kick things off with the no holds barred roller ‘Cogent’; spitting out murky-filth from the get go. An eerie intro backed by solid punchy kicks warns of the aural corruption that lies in wait, firmly setting the tempo for the rest of the EP.

Creatures come fully correct with their offering ‘Clarity’. Unrivalled trademark drumwork & percussive elements confirm this as material worthy of a run-out on some of the world’s best D&B dancefloors. Keep your ears open for new music coming on Infidelity from the Creatures production lab in the very near future.

Prolific collaborators and regulars on the Bristol circuit; Subtle Element & Safety in Numbers have teamed up to bring you an updated 2016 version of their unreleased 2015 track ‘Symptomatic’ which was featured on Optiv & BTK’s ‘Dutty Audio Podcast’, as their respective label debuts.

Another label debut, but this time for a new boy in town. Lurk, another hot tip of ours to go on to big things, impressed us massively with material fired our way in the last 6 months – constantly exciting us with his distinct styles. ‘Preserve’ is a full on bass-laden stepper – charged with enough sub to rumble any club to it’s foundations.

Subtle Element’s ‘Last Hour’ is the penultimate number on the EP. Employing his now-trademark sound design, sub meets stabby reece in this energy filled rolling grub fest.

Impeccably rounding off a strong start to the ‘Evolve’ series, Creatures & TerraHawk collaborate on the comically named ‘Justin Thyme’; an intriguing fusion of both artist’s current styles. Definitely worth your thyme.

ALTERED PERCEPTION
VORTEX EP

1. Vortex VIP
2. Underpass
3. Reaper
4. Running

Infidelity Records continues in it’s pursuit of nurturing exciting talent from the world of Drum & Bass.

This latest offering is a 4 track EP from Bristol based Altered Perception, who is no stranger to modern day labelism, with no less than 4 imprints that he either owns or coowns: Alchemic Breaks, Terrabyte Records, Transmission Audio & Sub:mission Audio. He has received support from some weighty institutions and DJs such as BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, B.Traits, Doc Scott, Kenny Ken & Aphrodite to name just a few.

The project is a label debut for the artist which adds to an already impressive list of labels who have picked up on the undoubted technical ability he posses.

The title track ‘Vortex VIP’, kicks off with a grooveladen break, chirpy stabs preface what is to come; huge distorted stabs akin to that of a mid 00’s tech sound roll out over the, in comparison more subtle, steady

beat the huge contrast in intensity between both main elements is what makes this track, the almost unfeasible marriage is consummated.

‘Underpass’ again utilises what can be described as a subtle yet steady break as the artist begins to establish a theme for the EP as a whole; technical proficiency through simplicity. Rumbling, reverb charged aberrations lead us down a dark path, before calm ensues only to be decimated a mater of bars later by the aforementioned sonic filth.

Up next is ‘Reaper’, rolling out almost immediately before breaking down to introduce a huge sub bass and Altered Perception’s trademark bass sounds. Simplicity is one again key as the rolling bass sits perfectly alongside beat. A true murky roller this one.

Rounding off the EP, ‘Running’ steps along smartly from the start, uplifting keys introduce what would seem to be the most melodic track on the project, a head nod inducing chord progression ensues postdrop, leading to a crafty call and response between lead bass & and the higher pitched elements.

CREATURES – LOST GODS EP (INFIDELITY RECORDS)

Coming soon on Infidelity Records, new signing Creatures present their first of a plethora of solo projects with us.

The 4 track ‘Lost Gods EP’ is slated for release on 27.11.2015. Below is the exclusive look at the EP artwork, with the first audio clip coming next week!

The EP has a Greek mythology theme throughout, with the connection between the title ‘Lost Gods EP’, the track titles (Mirage, Hades, Desert Shadow and Cerberus) and the deeper tech-minded style prominent across the body of work. This is certainly a slightly different direction than we have seen in previous releases on Infidelity, however the label is more than willing to endorse talent of this magnitude from across the D&B scene.

The EP is already receiving support from some big players such as:

S.P.Y – 10/10 – “Desert shadow is the one for me, sick track”
Drumsound & Bassline Smith – 8/10 – “Good stuff”
Rene LaVice – 8/10 – “Sounding cool!”
Mind Vortex – 10/10 – “Sick”
Aphrodite – 8/10 – “Good EP”
Villem – 9/10 – “Dope!”
Concord Dawn – 9/10 – “Mirage!! What dirty creatures, quality tech!”
Chris SU – 7/10
M-Soul & S27 – “Like it, especially Cerberus”
Ray Keith – “Great production. Love the deep dark textures, heavy”

CALM B4 THE STORM – THE REMIXES – ft. TERRAHAWK, DOPE TINGZ, SALARYMAN & CREATURES

Infidelity Records presents it’s latest offering, Calm B4 The Storm Remix EP (DBINFDLTY4) – featuring remixes of TerraHawk’s second original production, forthcoming 30.10.15!

TerraHawk have had a busy year with releases, bookings in different countries, clubs and festivals. After an influx of interest from artists wanting to remix their collaboration with Tenor Fly, ‘Calm B4 The Storm’, the duo hand picked the artists which would bring the most variety to the EP.

There is a remix from our French D&B soldier, Salaryman, bringing more of a Dubwise edge to the track. Salaryman has recently had tracks selected for RAM Miami and 15 years of Technique Recordings, so he is a man in demand.

Dope Tingz (combo of the legendary Dope Ammo and Run Tingz Cru) have put their all out dance-floor touch to the track, firmly stamping down the sound for the up front D&B ravers.

Infidelity’s new signing, Creatures, have taken on the track and absolutely shown without a shadow of a doubt, what they are capable of. This darker, rolling track has had us excited for a while, and we can’t even begin to say what is in

Last but not least, TerraHawk went back in on the track and flipped it into a dark, gritty, steaming VIP mix, showing store for these guys. their versatility!

The release has been receiving strong support so far, from the likes of:
THE QEMISTS, DRUMSOUND & BASSLINE SMITH, MAMPI SWIFT, UNCLE DUGS, RAY KIETH, LOGAN D, BREWSTER B KISS FM AUSTRALIA, KENNY KEN, DJ INK, LIONDUB, DJ DAZEE, NICKY BLACKMARKET, ARIES, BLADERUNNER, RENE LA VICE +++ more.
